Potatoes pie recipe - Tortel di patate

 
 
POTATOES PIE (Tortel di patate)

INGREDIENTS:
6 big mature potatoes
1 spoonful of white flour
olive oil
salt and pepper
 
PREPARATION:
Peel the potatoes and grate them with a grater (use one with big holes). Add the white flour, salt and pepper to taste. Heat some olive oil in a big pot. When the oil is ready pour the compound in scoops (they should look like smal pancakes). Fry them for 5 minutes until you see a gilded crust on both sides. Drain and dry them with blotting paper. The potatoes pancakes are excellent if eaten warm with tasty cheese or seasoned salami.
