Trentino Alto Adige (South Tirol),
is the autonomous and the most northern region of the peninsula. It is
located inthe heart of the Alpine arch and wherever you are it offers
you strikingmountainous sceneries including the majestically Dolomite
group and a largenumber of small and big alpine lakes.
The Adige river is the second
longestriver in Italy and it descends from an alpine lake high in the
Dolomites nearthe Austrian border and runs through the center of the
